Juliana Wood is the associate director of online learning resources at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). Her role at the HBA is to bring together experts to share leadership insights, knowledge, emerging technologies, etc., as part of its busy virtual educational program. Joining the HBA in late 2015, she’s enjoying the collaboration across staff and member volunteers to constantly increase engagement towards HBA’s mission. She also manages HBA’s Member Community on the Higher Logic platform, seeking to deepen member and chapter engagement.
Her previous roles include serving as educational programs manager at the National Information Standards Organization (NISO), serving as a head of marketing and communications at Johns Hopkins University’s Engineering for Professional graduate program, a district marketing manager for Borders Books, Inc., serving Maryland and Pennsylvania, and the director of marketing and events for independent bookstores located in Maryland, Tennessee, and California.
Juliana is a native of California, and she currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland, with her daughter and their two cats who grudgingly allow humans to live with them.
Juliana holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
